Digital Museum and Cinema
The digital museum blends academic rigor, rich research insights, cutting-edge technology, and complementary distinctions from the Sanmenxia Miaodigou Museum’s core displays.
Designed as a trendy check-in spot for young visitors and a learning space for teenagers, it unites simulated landscaping, interactive installations, artistic lighting features, and captivating digital content.
As China’s first immersive performance digital museum, it offers a unique cultural experience.

I served as both Project Director and Creative Designer, relishing the frontline role of merging cultural creativity with cutting-edge technology to address real-world challenges for clients and visitors.
Awards
The entire institution received national awards, and my project was a part of it:
2021: Miaodigou Site recognized among China’s Top 100 Archaeological Discoveries of the Century.
2021: the 19th National Museum Top 10 Exhibition Excellence Award.

Visitors encounter the leader’s palace and ancient labor and life scenes. Strike the clay drums to activate the overhead lights and stage lighting.

Pottery Workshop
Assist digital potters in completing the three main pottery processes.
A 360° Cylinder-Screen Cinema
Experience an immersive journey through expert oral histories and a panoramic archaeological site tour, unveiling the discovery and exploration of Miaodigou culture.

The 3D animation film The Colorful Pottery Adventure offers teenagers a fairy-tale-style educational experience, combining archaeology and fascinating storytelling.
Project Two: Qingdao Zhongshan Road

Immersive Luminous CityWalk
The Zhongshan Road Historical Cultural District covers approximately 28 square kilometers. This district is adjacent to Qingdao Zhan’qiao Pier’s famous spot, but only 10% of Zhan’qiao Pier visitors choose to roam Zhongshan Road.
After a digital renewal in 2022, several new high-tech hotspots were added and integrated into an immersive luminous CityWalk, attracting tens of millions of tourists yearly and activating the old city’s attractiveness and vitality.

Accomplishment
2021: Designated as part of the second batch of Historical and Cultural Districts in Shandong Province.
2024: Included in the ninth batch of China’s 20th-Century Architectural Heritage Projects.
2024: Welcomed over 70.83 million visitors throughout the year.
master plan
I was responsible for planning the digital upgrade for the entire Zhongshan Road, which includes the main high-tech hotspots, attractions, and district ambient lighting scheme.
A 3D Naked-Eye Giant Screen
I created a creative visual landmark along the street façade of Parkson Shopping Centre, showcasing Zhongshan Road’s centuries-old commercial brands and cultural themes popular with the Chinese public.
Projection Mapping Shows
From 2020 to 2022, I led a seven-day projection show at Qingdao St. Michael’s Cathedral Square during the Chinese New Year. After Zhongshan Road’s May 2023 opening, I transformed it into a recurring event, linking it with the Qingdao Beer Festival, Lantern Festival, and folk temple fairs.
A Cave Display Cinema
It offers visitors a poetic leap across Qingdao Zhongshan Road, weaving through a century of history with authentic immersion.
Project Three: Hangzhou Wensan Street
City Digital Lifestyle District
Zhejiang Province, China
AR Glasses Immersive Walk
Located in Hangzhou’s bustling commercial core, this project transforms a legendary digital street, rich with nostalgic memories, where the Butterfly Wall and Wishing Tree stand as historic symbols. Shifting from a computer-tech theme to AR and cyber innovation, AR glasses ideally enable this evolution.
As China’s first city-level metaverse-themed district, it offers a unique New Paradigm for Urban Cultural Tourism.

The digital mascot of the Street acts as a tour guide for visitors to roam around the neighborhood.

Decorate the old trees in the neighborhood with Cyber decorations.

Make a wish based on a specific gesture recognized by the AR glasses.
Butterfly Interactive
The Butterfly Wall in the street is a nostalgic attraction where digital butterflies flutter around visitors and track their gestures.
